Jane Kolar - Head Varsity Coach

Jane is excited to be leading the OWL program for the fourth year. Jane has nearly a decade of experience coaching all levels of lacrosse. Most recently, she has coached teams with Minnesota Elite, Edina Youth Lacrosse Association, and Notre Dame Academy high school in Villanova, PA. Jane’s coaching philosophy is rooted in forming all-around athletes, increasing female participation in sports, and building confidence in players on and off the field. As Head Coach, Jane is especially focused on program development, game strategy, and maintaining a competitive reputation for OWL. Jane and Virginia have coached as a 'dynamic duo’ for years and love coaching.

Virginia Maguire - Assistant Varsity Coach

Virginia has coached for the last eight years, almost exclusively with Jane by her side. Throughout these years she has been heavily involved with the Edina Youth Lacrosse Association, coaching U12 and U14, and also running fall and spring clinics. Beyond youth lacrosse, she has coached at the club level, working with Frog Lacrosse, Arete Lacrosse, and Team Medusa. The club programs trained talented and dedicated players whom she coached during practices, clinics, and tournaments across the country. Prior to becoming the assistant coach at Orono, Virginia was the head coach of the NC High School Lacrosse program in Indianapolis. Virginia aims to create a high-intensity environment that focuses on skill development. In conjunction with Jane, Virginia is passionate about working with young women and creating a fun and competitive program that fosters meaningful sports IQ.
