Preseason Training
The following preseason training schedule is available for all athletes playing or interested in playing on the Orono Women's Lacrosse Team. This is offered through P3 Specialized Sports Training at the Long Lake Dome with trainer Matt Merrick. For more Information on Matt, see below.
Costs:
Monthly Fee based on $17.50 per session:
January - $87.50
February - $140.00
March - $122.50
Open Turf Time is no extra charge if attending Strength and Conditioning, if only attending Open Turf Time, it is a $15 drop in fee
Athletes should bring credit card to first session to pay for month and then card will be charged monthly.
January
Mondays (1/15, 1/22, 1/29): 3pm to 4pm - Strength and Conditioning, Open Turf Time 4 to 5pm
Fridays (1/19, 1/26): 3pm to 4pm - Strength and Conditioning, Open Turf Time 4 to 5pm
February
Mondays (2/5, 2/12, 2/19, 2/26): 3pm to 4pm - Strength and Conditioning, Open Turf Time 4 to 5pm
Fridays (2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/1): 3pm to 4pm - Strength and Conditioning, Open Turf Time 4 to 5pm
March
Mondays (3/4, 3/11, 3/18): 4:45pm to 5:45pm - Strength and Conditioning after Captain Practices
Wednesdays (3/7, 3/14, 3/21): 3pm to 4pm - Strength and Conditioning
Matt Merrick - Trainer P3 Sports Performance - Long Lake Dome
I am a performance coach. I've been in the industry for over ten years. I was formerly working as a coach for Training Haus and I was mainly with Minnetonka boys hockey for the last 5 years. I have trained a large range of age groups - 9 years old to the elderly and many different skill levels - youth to professionals. I do not train all sports the same as they all require a different skill set or they have different demands. I excel in movement - speed, agility, top end, acceleration, etc. With that you need strength, power, mobility and technique to be most effective and efficient.
