SBA is the law student government.
We are elected representatives from each class who serve as a resource and liaison in matters involving the school administration, faculty, and student services. Every student at the law school is automatically a member of the SBA, this includes all J.D., LL.M., and CRES students. The SBA serves as a pillar to uplift students and organizations here at the law school.
Our goals on the SBA are to encourage, advocate, and build a community for the law students at the University of Oregon School of Law. We do this by:
Co-sponsoring student organizations within the law school to help facilitate their events. Examples include OUTLaws' Name Change Clinic and the SALDF's pet photo fundraiser.
Building a greater professional network for students to enjoy. SBA is currently building reciprocal relationships with outside organizations including other Big-10 institutions and the Law Student Alumni Association of the University of Oregon.
Advising the Dean of the law school in all student matters. We advocate for students to have their voices heard on topics such as faculty, tuition, grading, access to resources, and more.
