This is the list of hardware required to build a SmartRap using the plastic parts on this site.
This is for a Smartrap using fishing line as drive control. The GT2 configuration will be listed seperately.
For the Z axis 8mm rods I recommend getting 300 to 333mm depending on your source. The is because the rods rest on the base plate and you lose Z height from the stepper motors height and the E3Dv6 hotend length. 333mm Z rods should yield about 180mm height. The 5mm threaded rod can be 250mm for 333mm Z rods.
For X and Y axis, 333mm will yield about 220mm of print length. 250mm will yield about 160mm print length.
In my basic kit I run Y at 333mm and X at 250mm. This will yield a working surface that is the equivalent of an 8in x10in piece of picture frame glass. Thats about 160mm x 220mm approximately.
