Opura is a personal shorthand practice app built around the words, phrases, and passages you actually use. You can define shorthand outlines, revise saved words, practice generated prompts, save passages, and customize your writing surface.

Common questions:

How do I create a shorthand entry?
Open Learn, choose a recommended word or type your own word or phrase, optionally add a memory hook or word type, draw your outline, and save the definition.

How do I revise saved words?
Open Revise, write the shown word from memory, reveal your saved outline, and grade your recall using Again, Hard, Good, or Easy.

How does Practicum work?
Practicum creates sentence or passage practice using words you have already saved. You can reveal word references and flag difficult words for extra review.

Where are my saved words stored?
Your shorthand entries and passages are stored locally on your device.

How do I back up my data?
Use the export or backup option in Settings, if available. Keep exported backup files somewhere safe.

How do I change the writing paper?
Open Settings, then choose Blank, Dotted, or Lined paper under Writing Surface.

How do I stop finger drawing?
Open Settings and turn off Apple Pencil + Touch if you want drawing to work with Apple Pencil only.

How do I hide the Apple Pencil toolbar?
Open Settings and turn off the Apple Pencil toolbar option if available. You can still draw without the large toolbar showing.

How do I turn Gregg reference lookup on or off?
Open Settings and use the Gregg reference setting. If disabled, Learn will not show Gregg reference lookup content.

How do I reset the tutorial?
Open Settings and choose Reset First-Launch Guide or Reset Page Tutorials.
