Annual Park Host Registration is OPEN January 1st - 31st

Oregon State Parks invites volunteers with a scheduled park host assignment between March and December of 2024 to participate in Annual Park Host Registration Month this January.

During Park Host Registration Month, all park hosts complete OPRD's annual volunteer requirements in advance, so that both volunteers and park rangers can focus on getting ready for volunteer assignments, instead of filling out paperwork later in the year. 

We highly encourage you to participate and get these requirements out of the way so you can spend 2024 enjoying your volunteer service in Oregon. 

Information and instructions will be emailed directly to volunteer park hosts.

Complete these Requirements for 2024:

• Submit a Volunteer Renewal Application

• Complete the Volunteer Service Agreement

• Review Park Host Safety Training

• Complete the State of Oregon's Discrimination & Harassment Training

• Complete the Annual Volunteer Background Check

A note on volunteers serving in January and February assignments: Due to the time it takes statewide staff to process required materials, please work directly with park staff to complete all of the required paperwork for assignments beginning in January or February. Folks with assignments beginning March 1 or after, who participate in Annual Host Registration Month, will have their requirements processed in time for the start of their assignment.
