Background Check

Criminal Background Check & Driving Records Check

It is Oregon Parks and Recreation Department's responsibility to make sure that all volunteers serve in a safe and welcoming environment. Due to the frequent contact between park hosts and park visitors, the benefit park hosts receive of temporarily living on OPRD property, and park host volunteers ability to drive utility vehicles and other vehicles as part of their assignment, a criminal background check and driving records check is required. 

Park hosts with confirmed assignments between March 2024 - September 2024 will receive an email inviting them to complete a background check  between January 1, 2024 and  January 20, 2024

This background check is completed online through Advanced Reporting, which is the company OPRD contracts with to complete background checks for volunteers and staff. A request to complete the background check will be emailed only to the park hosts as specified above. 

If you are part of a host team, please note that EACH of you will receive a separate request (via e-mail) to complete the check on-line.
