In this unique and complimentary partnership, our drop-in center is designed to help overcome the geographic and transportation challenges for youth in North County seeking JIT services, and will allow JIT to increase its reach to an estimated 100 young people. LifeSpring will utilize the drop-in center for its current clients, and is currently expanding its services, at The House, beyond former foster youth to include services for homeless and at-risk transition age youth. All young adults at the drop-in center will have access to case management, crisis intervention, basic needs, housing navigation, referrals to other supportive services, as well as food, internet access, laundry/shower facilities, recreational space, and a welcoming home-like environment.

The TAY Housing Program provides short-term assistance in the form of hotel voucher assistance for victims of crime for North County residents, as well as Transitional housing for runaway and homeless youth, which will help decrease the number of youth sleeping in areas not meant for habitation such as the canyon, under bridges or in cars.
Serving:
Young adults ages 18-24 who are experiencing homelessness or facing the possibility of becoming homeless in the near future.
Singles, couples, pregnant and parenting are eligible.

Short-term and Bridge Housing is the only program focused on providing transitional, supportive housing and job training opportunities for connected transition-aged youth in the San Diego area. In partnership with the County of San Diego – Behavioral Health Services, we provide supportive housing in our independent-living facilities in San Diego, under the supervision of onsite program staff. Our program staff utilize an evidence-based practice featuring a harm reduction model with trauma-informed care.

Just Be U is an innovative program offered by Urban Street Angels. This program provides housing, support services, advanced technology, integrative medicine, and holistic health care for transitional age youth experiencing homelessness in San Diego. Youth eligible for this program must be between the ages of 18- 25, and have a qualifying Serious Mental Illness (SMI) diagnosis. During their 90 days in the program, youth will receive recuperative, integrative, and holistic wellness services such as acupuncture, yoga, massage therapy, reiki, chiropractic care, and meditation, as well as mindfulness education, biofeedback therapy, and nutritional counseling.
The Center’s cutting-edge Sunburst Youth Housing Project was created to provide safe and supportive housing for San Diego’s homeless youth between 18-24, including LBGTQ and youth living with HIV.

Every night, JFS operates a Safe Parking Program for unsheltered San Diegans living out of their vehicles, many of whom are experiencing homelessness for the first time. The Safe Parking Program provides a welcoming environment, meaningful resources and tools, and dignified support to help families stabilize and transition back into permanent housing. With holistic services focused on basic needs assistance, employment, family wellness, school success, financial education, credit repair, and housing, the goal is to create a pathway out of homelessness while being a support to people where they are now.
The program operates seven nights per week at four secured lots at Balboa Avenue, Aero Drive, Mission Village Drive, and Encinitas. Enrollment is required for all locations.
