Prescription Creator by Agrian

Rx Creator by Agrian gives customers an opportunity to optimize their placement of inputs through the Prescription Creator. Available at no extra cost, Agrian allows growers and their consultants to easily construct management zones and variable rate prescriptions based on yield, moisture data, and prescriptions based on soil types. The prescription is then available in the Operations Center on the files page where it can be sent directly to the machines through Wireless Data Transfer (via JDLink™ Connect) or Mobile Data Transfer, downloaded to a USB stick, or shared with a partner directly within the application.

1. Click on the Prescription Creator by Agrian

1. Choose the Prescription Type

2. Select the Organization

3. The Client

4. The farm

5. The field

6. The active boundary associated with the field

7. Choose the Prescription Source that you will be developing the prescription from

  • Field Operation

  • Free Form zones

  • Soil Survey

*** If using a field operation you will then have to choose the desired operation and the attribute associated with with the operation that you want to build the Prescription from.

9. Once you have your information selected, choose next at the bottom left hand side of the page.

10. Click on the field boundary shown in green, and it will highlight the area with a blue boundary. Next Select Manually Edit Zones from the top right hand side of the screen to begin developing zones. (for this example we will be doing a dryland/irrigated Rx)

11. Using the tools on the right hand side of the screen you can begin to develop your zones. information about what each of the tools are can be found at the left hand side of the page.

12. The Circle tool was used to create our Dry vs. Irrigated zones. when you have the zones the way you like, click "Create Zones" one the left hand side of the screen.

13. When the zones are created we can then add the information that the Rx will control. With the New Rx Creator we can make multiple Rx's utilizing the same zones.

14. To create a Seeding Rx, select add variety, and choose the variety/hybrid that you will be planting in the field. ***You have to have a variety selected to create the Rx, after the Rx is created you can change the variety on the display if you end up planting a different one.

15. Assign the rates to each of the zones.*** As you move your mouse over the zones it will highlight the zone that it is over.

16. To quickly merge zones after the rates are assign click on the dissolve button above the rates.

*** This will combine all zones with the same values.

*When your Rx is completed it will export to the Files page.
