Who is the faculty member at the University of Maryland that researches cognition?
What do they specifically research?
VISIT: Dr. Michael Dougherty
At the University of Maryland, we are lucky to have excellent faculty who research a variety of topics! Below, you will read about Dr. Michael Dougherty whose research focuses on decision, attention, and memory.
Dr. Michael Dougherty is the director of the Decision, Attention, and Memory Lab. Research in the lab examines the interelationshps amongst decision making, judgment, and memory with a focus on developing theoretical and computational models of behavior. Current research projects focus on basic memory, cognitive ability, self-regulated learning, and forecasting. The projects involve a variety of methods including questionnaire measures, laboratory-based experiments, and response time. Dr. Dougherty is a proponent of open science and transparent research processes. The research in the lab has transitioned to using the open science framework to document and share data.
