PARTNER SCHOOLS

There are 6 experienced schools within this project and  their motivated and dedicated teachers who are willing to learn and ready to make changes in their communities. The leading partner is the Basisschool De Rank from The Netherlands. Find out a little bit of their experience and working methods!

The Rank School from Vianen, The Netherlands is situated in Vianen, near Utrecht. It has about 340 students and 36 teachers. Beside teachers, there are special assistant teachers who are taking care of children with special needs and support pupils in acquiring knowledge and a special class for gifted pupils where pupils meet once a week. The school is experienced in delivering Erasmus+ projects and with this project school wants to go a step further and develop lessons for indoor and outdoor learning as much as build a framework for parental involvement in a way to point out the importance of outdoor playing/learning. The school is certified as Healthy school for promoting healthy habits of pupils and and offers a possibility for after school care.

Holy Family Primary and Nursery School from Derry, Northern Ireland, is located in an urban area on the outskirts of Derry City and caters for pupils aged 3 -11. Theree is about 560 pupils, 23% of which are on the SEN register. The majority of pupils come from areas of social deprivation as identified by the noble indicators. There are currently 25 teachers and 17 classroom assistants working in the school. The school is and is an inclusive school which endeavors to provide appropriate educational provision for the broad range of abilities of different learning needs (some have physical disabilities also). The school delivers a very broad extended schools programe which enables children to participate in a variety of sporting activities, arts programmes and Eco friendly clubs and has a Green flag too.

Fanny-Hensel Schule from Leipzig, Germany, is a primary school which educates about 200 children divided in 8 classes and taught by 13 motivated teachers aware of constantly necessity for acquiring new competences and broadening their horizons. There are two main reason to join the project: acquiring new methods for delivering outdoor lessons and broadening cultural competencies and internationalization of all participants. 


Osnovna škola Jurja Dobrile from Rovinj, Croatia,  is a primary school with about 650 pupils ages 6-15 and 65 teachers. The school is very recognizable at the national level in carrying out Erasmus+ projects and is awarded eTwinning School. Teachers are very aware of constantly necessity of developing their skills and competencies so they are taking parts in various teacher training sessions, both on national and international levels, such as courses and job shadowing activities in other EU schools. Since now, more then 50 teacher training sessions were undertook and lots of eTwinning projects run. 

3rd School of Sitia from Crete, Greece, is a very modern school with its 28 techers and 284 students years 4-12. It is located on Eastern Crete, at Sitia, in an area based on agriculture and tourism. It's an ''open school'' to the local society with many activities and events. All teachers are trying to implement new teaching methods and we are trying to be informed by seminars and other inner educational ways. We are trying to follow any new teaching methods (STEMRobotics, CLIL, ICT classrooms) just to offer a full useful educational packet. 3rd School it's the most experienced School in Eastern Crete in EU educational and national educational projects.

Álftanesskóli from Garðabær, Iceland, is a compulsory primary school from the 1st grade to the 10th grade for pupils aged 6-15. There are about 410 students in the school and the number of teachers is 40 but the total number of staff is about 80. Pupils are divided after age into three levels: the youngest level: classes from 1-4, middle level: classes from 5-7 and the oldest level: classes from 8-10. A school has a school gym and a swimming pool at our schoolyard, making it easy even for the youngest to get there and back in no time. The school organizes at least one lesson outdoors a week and has been environmentally oriented and a Green Flag project participant from the year 2005 to 2019.
