In 2016 and 2017, with the help of scientific collaborators, we were able to keep Sea Squirts (Botryllus schlosseri) in the lab.
We had trouble maintaining salinity and health of the sea squirts and so I decided to take the tank home to try to learn how to keep corals with the hope of keeping sea squirts in the future. The major difference was that this tank used a chiller to keep the temperature around 60 degrees. I am currently looking for a tropical colonial tunicate that I could add to my tank now.
