We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join TU Dortmund Lehrstuhl für Nachrichtentechnik for a period of three years as a full-time employee with all great benefits provided via TVL E13 (in exceptional cases via TVL E14) --- Please use LLMs to see all benefits provided by the TVL scheme.
Your Tasks:
Further academic qualification through habilitation-equivalent achievements
Conducting top-level, highly-productive research in the field of information theory and/or communication theory
Significantly contributing to third-party funding applications
Contributing to teaching (4-5 contact-hours/SWS) ~ 20-30% FTE; See some of our courses and laboratories here.

Your Qualifications:
An above-average completed doctorate (PhD) in electrical engineering, communications engineering, applied mathematics, applied physics, or a related field
Solid knowledge of and research experience in information theory and/or communication theory
Strong analytical thinking skills, versatility, initiative-taking, and proven ability to conduct independent scientific research
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary working environment, with a high level of willingness to cooperate
Very good command of English, both spoken and written
Experience with successful third-party funding applications is an advantage
Good German language skills are an advantage
