Come and ask the experts! The Ontario Strings Association welcomes you to our semi-annual professional development session. We will be sight-reading strings repertoire (Grades 0.5-4). You are encouraged to come and play on a string instrument you do not normally play, and your expert stand partner can answer any instrument specific questions you may have while also being exposed to new repertoire. In addition, you can ask more general questions during the session about teaching approaches and how the experts might approach rehearsing the repertoire.

OSA's semi-annual PD sessions are free for all OSA members. Not a member yet? It’s easy to become a member. Simply complete the membership form and send payment via e-transfer to ontariostrings@gmail.com or bring cash or cheque payable to Ontario Strings Association on the day of the event. Regular membership $25/ Student membership $15.

Our Annual General Meeting will take place after the PD session. Please join the board members and be informed of our exciting upcoming events! All current members have voting rights on different topics - you have a say in what our organization provides for you.

Annual General Meeting

The Ontario Strings Association Annual General Meeting is an opportunity to have your voice heard within the organization. This year, the meeting takes place after our PD session, on October 4, 2019. All up to date, currently paid members have voting privileges at the AGM. You do not have to be a member to attend the AGM.

The AGM will have reports from each of the working committees, which will give you an opportunity to understand what goes on in the organization. We will then share descriptions of the various positions on the board and what positions, if any, are open. After that, there will be elections to the Board. If you are interested in getting involved in a more hands-on way, this is a great opportunity to become involved, you can also offer to sit on or contribute to a committee.

Finally, the meeting will be open to new business, and this is an opportunity for you to have your voice heard should there be anything you want addressed within the organization.
