Alice Brass's What's Your Name is a great way to incorporate students' names into a creative musical activity. Instructions for the lesson can be found in Alice's book Orff Explorations: Classroom Projects in Music, Movement and Poetry.
Alice Pratt's song One Voice matches up with Davide Cali and Serge Bloch's book The Enemy. Read the story to the class and have the students write down what they would write on a note to send to the other side. Students can sing teh song and say what was writing on their notes over an instrumetnal break.
