Our Committee currently manages four projects on behalf of our community:
The Irvine Archive Established on 11 August 2012, this online collection of photos, documents and video has attracted almost 700,000 views. It has been built up by the kind donation of material from 36 individuals and one institution. As of May 2020 it contained 1,949 photographs and documents and 7 videos (including 5 amateur films shot in the 1930s). You can access The Archive here:

We are working with the University of the West of Scotland at their Ayr Campus to deliver community-led content, and hope to use this innovation in a variety of ways:
Irvine International Facebook Page Established on 18 October 2013, this social media account has engaged with Irvinites across the globe (in August 2019 its audience had a reach of 22,500). Its goal is to inform, entertain and involve those born in the town with their birthplace. It has championed local campaigns, aided volunteer recruitment and raisd money for local causes. fitba In November of 2019, the Board of Irvine Meadow Community Club took the decision to engage with young Irvinites in addressing 3 major problems:
Obesity
Innumeracy
Illiteracy
We are working with experienced teachers and carers to deliver a set of games with which to tackle all three. This project will be delivered jointly with Irvine Meadow Youth.
