2003 Skills Challenge - Jason Kidd

New Jersey's Jason Kidd topped fellow East Bay native Gary Payton of the SuperSonics in the inaugural Skills Challenge.

Besides his impressive basketball skills, Kidd has shown that he can be a leader on the court and that he can communicate effectively with his teammates. He has earned the respect of Bucks head coach Jason Kidd and is considered a possible future Gatorade National Boys' Basketball Player of the Year.

He has also mastered the art of dunk competitions.

There are a few notable dunks in his career, including the one that helped him win the Slam Dunk contest at the All-Star Game last season.

The most difficult dunk was also the longest: he completed a 25-footer from the top of a basket, which was more than twice as long as his previous best.

He also got the highest score in the Rookie Challenge with a 93. Despite the fact that his team lost, Kidd made a great impression on his teammates and the Milwaukee media.

It's no secret that Kidd loves to play video games and has built a variety of contraptions in his spare time. Among the more interesting of these is a Spiderman Web shooter that he created.

Another noteworthy invention was a Transformer that turns into a toy Bazooka. In addition, he likes to collect gadgets of all shapes and sizes. He also enjoys playing games such as Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Besides this, there are several other things that Jason is best known for, including his love of dinosaurs and the fact that he is a big fan of Star Wars.
