I obtained my M.Sc (Eng) and Ph.D in 1993 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and am currently an associate professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering. In the past, I have worked in the area of path planning algorithms, distance computation of geometrical objects and algorithm that minimizes sway and vibration of mechanical system. More recently, I am working on Model Predictive Control of system with uncertainties, Robust Control and Multiagent systems.

I was a fellow of the Singapore-MIT Alliance from 2005 to 2009. I am a senior member of IEEE and a Subject Editor of International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control.
