What to Expect for a Remote Online Notarization (RON)
Remote Online Notarization allows you to have your documents notarized securely through a live video session. The process is simple, but a few things are required to ensure a smooth appointment.
Please make sure you have the following ready:
• A valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID)
• The document you need notarized (uploaded or ready to upload before the session)
• A device with a camera and microphone such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone
• A stable internet connection
• Access to a smartphone or computer to complete identity verification questions if required
• Have a date and time in mind for notarization
Complete the form by clicking the “Schedule Your Online Notarization” button or Scan QR code, then follow these steps:
Enter your email address.
Select your preferred language.
Choose your preferred date.
Select an available time.
Add any comments or notes.
Upload your document.
If we have already spoken and I already have your documents, please check the box indicating this instead of uploading again.
Check the box confirming that you understand you are requesting a digital notarization.
Click Continue to submit your request.
Note: If you have any questions about fees, please ask at the beginning of the session or email me in advance.
During the video session:
You'll receive an email of your requested time and date was approved (if unavailable I will reach out to accommodate our schedules)
Verify your identity using your government-issued ID (You will be asked to take a picture of your ID, front and back.)
I will confirm you understand the document you are signing
I will ensure you are signing voluntarily
I'll then witness your electronic signature (if applicable)
Then I'll apply my official electronic notary seal and certificate
After session is complete you will have the option to download your notarized document. You may also create an account. This is optional. Creating an account is free and it allows your document to be securely stored on the platform, and you will be able to access it anytime.
The entire process typically takes 5–10 minutes depending on the document.
Important
• You must appear on camera during the session
• Document is intended for use within the United States
• The notarization session will be recorded as required by Florida law
Once the session is complete, you will receive a digitally notarized copy of your document, which can be downloaded and shared immediately.
