One-Day Meeting on Advanced Statistics Topics
Modern Trends in Time Series
Venue: University of Aveiro
Program: here
The group of Probability and Statistics (P&S) of the Center for Research & Development in Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA), University of Aveiro, promotes a new edition of the One-Day Meeting on Advanced Statistic Topics (oneMAST).
The main purpose of this face-to-face meeting is to bring together researchers working on advanced topics in Statistics, providing them with an opportunity to share their works and strengthen collaborations. Another key objective is to encourage the active participation of young researchers, such as master's students, PhD students, research project fellows, among others, at the early stages of their scientific research. To this end, the program will include a Contributed Session and a Young Contributed Session. The latter will take the form of short pitch presentations, complemented by a poster exhibition (in a graphical abstract format), to stimulate discussion among participants.
The central theme of the third edition of the oneMAST is Modern Trends in Time Series. The program will include three talks, each addressing developments and methodological advances in time series analysis. In addition, a roundtable discussion entitled What Comes Next? The Future of Time Series in a Data-Driven World will provide a forum for participants to exchange ideas on emerging challenges, interdisciplinary applications, and the evolving role of time series in modern data science. This combination of lectures and interactive discussion aims to offer a comprehensive view of both current innovations and future directions in the study of time series.
Please look into the program for more details.
The venue will be the University of Aveiro.
