Students have the possibility to apply for a free student membership, sponsored by the EAGE Student Fund.
Sponsored student associations offer students access to all the benefits of EAGE and provide students with the monthly online edition of the magazine First Break.
Apply for Student Travel Grants:
Students selected to present at EAGE events who would not be able to attend the specific event without financial assistance can apply for financial support from PACE (Programme for Association and Cooperation in Earth Sciences). This support is currently paused, because of the pandemic, but we hope it will return in 2022!
Request financial support to organize field trips:
EAGE Student Fund offers modest grants to finance proposed field trip projects that impact the geophysical profession or geoscience students.
Request financial support to organize student events:
PACE (Programme for Association and Cooperation in Earth Sciences) also supports the organization of meetings by local chapters, communities and associated societies, that are relevant to the mission of the Association.
Participate in competitions:
EAGE Geo-Quiz, a competitive and fast quiz focusing on earth sciences. The winning teams in the regional competitions receive financial support to participate in the EAGE Conference & Exhibition in Europe, with the opportunity to participate in the EAGE Global Geo-Quiz;
Laurie Dake Challenge, in which competing teams need to analyze and propose a field development plan for a discovered hydrocarbon resource. Finalist teams receive financial support to participate in the EAGE Conference & Exhibition in Europe;
Minus CO2 Challenge, in which competing teams propose a low-carbon field development plan of a discovered hydrocarbon resource.
