What can I expect for my first day?
One week before your starting date, People & Culture will reach out to you, providing you with all necessary information to get you started! (Also, take a look at the introductory period page)
How can I best travel to the office on my first day?
In the DEPT® magazine, on the 'Nice to know' page, you can find information regarding your commute to both Amsterdam and Rotterdam office
At my previous employer, I was taking parental leave. Is it possible to make use of this as soon as I start working for DEPT®?
Of course! Please contact hr@nl.deptagency.com. They will assist you.
Q: Is this website safe enough for me to upload a copy of my passport?
A: Yes, this website is secured. You can safely upload the copy of your passport.
Q: I accidentally uploaded the wrong document, can this be changed?
A: Yes, upload the correct version again with the description that this is the correct version.
Q: I don't have a BSN yet, can I still upload the payroll tax form?
A: The payroll tax form can only be completed once you have a BSN. No worries, if you don't have one yet, you can upload your payroll tax form after signing your contract.
Q: Am I required to upload a VISA?
A: No, this is only mandatory if you are coming from abroad.
Q: When will I receive my contract?
A: You will receive the contract after one of our HR employees has checked all data and files, including passport, payroll tax, registration form & Visa (optional).
This usually takes two working days.

Q: Why do I have to choose a phone plan?
A: DEPT® offers all employees with a fixed term contract a phone plan of their choice as part of the fringe benefits.
Q: Is the phone plan mandatory?
A: In case you aren't sure which plan to choose, you will be given the €25 reimbursement. You can always switch to a phone plan at a later stage.
Q: If I have questions about the phone plan, who can I contact?
A: You can send an email to hr@nl.deptagency.com
Q: I would like to use the phone subscription reimbursement, what should I do?
A: You can send the link to it-support@deptagency.com with your choice (reimbursement or phone plan), make sure you also add hr@nl.deptagency.com in the cc. They will make sure your phone is ready on your first day at work.
Q: Can I use the phone contribution for something else?
A: No, the contribution is seen as a direct reimbursement for a purchuse of a phone.
Q: Is there parking available at the offices?
A: If you choose to go by car: there’s free parking available in Rotterdam, and in Amsterdam you can use your Parkmobile App, but please be aware of the high parking costs (€4,50 cent per hour). Therefore, we highly recommend you to come to the office by public transport or bike.
