Every folder in OMORI, with it's purpose stated in parenthesis.
audio (Stores all sound used in the game)
bgm (Stores all background music)
bgs (Stores all background ambience)
me (Stores all sound effects)
se (Stores all musical effects)
data
(Stores all
map events, and information the RPG Maker Database
)
fonts
(Stores all
fonts used in game
)
icon
(Stores
the icon used by the game window
)
img
(Stores
most sprites and art
used in the game)
animations (Stores battle animations such as the stat buff animation.)
atlases (Stores the polaroids, tag photos, inventory item pictures, battle ui, title screen images, and a few other items.)
battlebacks1 (Stores the battle backgrounds.)
characters (Stores most overworld sprites.)
enemies (Stores static versions of the battle sprites for use in the database.)
faces (Stores the portraits used in dialogue and battle.)
gacha (Stores dummied out cards for a gacha plugin. This folder goes unused.)
overlays (Stores some effects placed over the screen, mainly fog.)
parallaxes (Stores the images used as the backgrounds to maps, eg. the Headspace starry sky)
pictures (Stores images that are overlayed on the screen. This is where most of the cutscene art is stored.)
slotmachine (Stores the sprites for the Last Resort slot machine. These sprites are also stored in atlas so I don't know which is used.)
sv_actors (Stores the enemy sprites actually displayed in game.)
system (Stores many UI images along with many unused variations.)
tilesets (Stores the tilesets used by Tiled.)
transition (Stores transition images meant for entering battle. This folder goes unused as OMORI's battle transitions are in pictures.)
js
(Stores
the JavaScript RPG Maker runs on and plugins
)
libs (Stores a lot of technical stuff related to RPG Maker itself. Don't touch this folder.)
plugins (Stores the many plugins OMORI uses to modify what is possible in RPG Maker.)
languages (Stores all written text used in the game.)
en (A dividing folder meant to distinguish the language, this being English. The English version of OMORI only has this folder.)
maps
(Stores the
prerendered maps made in Tiled. These don't show in RPG Maker's editior.
)
movies
(Stores the prerendered
videos used in the game. Mainly used for the credits and final boss cutscenes.
)
save
(Stores the
savedata for the game. Don't touch this when making mods.
