Grade 9 AP English Summer Reading Assignment

Summer reading is an expectation of all AP Prep English students attending Our Lady Queen of the World Catholic Academy.  Reading critically is an important skill that improves with practice, and our summer reading assignments have been designed to help students prepare for the work that they will be engaged in during the upcoming school year.

Students will be asked to read a selection of short stories and complete a note taking graphic organizer for each story.  We have attached the reading materials and link to the graphic organizers.

Students are encouraged to plan their time throughout the summer to read the short stories and complete the notes.  We will collect and use your notes on the stories during class in the Fall/Winter.
