Sumo Games
- Natto Banzuke Game
Join the NattoSumo Discord to play and see the #sumo-games channel: https://discord.gg/nattosumo
Pick one rikishi to win each day, but once you've picked them you can't again for the rest of the basho. Special prizes and a banzuke too! All done on a Google Spreadsheet. Join the Discord to chat about the game.
- Kachi Clash
Pick one rikishi from each of 5 sections; this will be your “team” for the whole basho. Each time one of your picks wins a bout, you get 1 point. Easy to play, great for beginners and a lot of fun! You can create a profile with your Google, Discord or Reddit details. It now gets over 400 entrants each time, so have a go yourself, a great way to get to know the rikishi better.
- Guess the Banzuke
http://www.dichne.com/Guess.htm
Running for almost 25 years, the goal is simple; guess what the new banzuke will look like! This isn’t the easiest thing in the world to do, especially for newer fans who aren’t sure how banzuke changes are worked out so, join the NattoSumo Discord (link on the “Discord Servers”page) and feel free to ask any questions you have in the sumo games channel.
- Super Banzuke Games
The Super Banzuke is actually a collection of 19 long-running sumo games, all very different from each other so there’s bound to be at least one you’ll be interested in playing. It’s a strange link but it’s fine, and contains links to each of the individual game sites. I recommend Internet Sumo Pool (one match is selected each day, all you have to do is pick the winner!) , Chain Gang (pick 1 rikishi to win per day, if he wins you survive, if he loses, you’re out!) and The Juryo Game for some 90s website design nostalgia!
- Road to Yokozuna
A different kind of game to the others on this page, Road to Yokozuna is a sumo-themed dice RPG, but played on Discord; think DnD but sumo! Great for fans of tabletop gaming and roleplaying. They have bots which deal with the dice rolling and match rules too.
- Sumo Kaboom! Kachi Koshi Bingo
https://sumokaboom.fireside.fm/bingo
In this game you’re given a bingo card with 25 randomly selected rikishi on a bingo card (you can’t pick them, that’d be unfair!). Whenever a rikishi gets kachi koshi (8 wins), mark him off. The idea is to get 5 in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonally. The first person to email proof of a winning card wins a prize, which varies each time but has included authentic tegata! There’s a limited number of cards however so keep an eye on Tachiai or the podcast to know when the cards are live, or join the mailing list.
- Mt. Fuji's Fantasy Sumo
A new game with a nice site, a variation of the Kachi Clash formula, allowing you to pick a juryo rikshi and an extra makuuchi rikishi too. There's also a database with stats for the highest scoring rikishi under the game's rules.
- Stablemasters
Now called Stablemasters and with a proper URL, this is a Kachi Clash variant with a very nice website that has rikishi data in a cool trading card style format. There's also a trends page to see which rikishi people are picking over time.
- Natto’s Game (Every Damn Day)
Every day you have to pick the winner in each bout of makuuchi. You log in using a Google account to create a profile. Sadly down for the foreseeable future.
