Would you like to get involved in your local community?

You may have seen our recent WhatsApp post asking residents about their experiences of East Acton station. This is one of a number of our projects. As the Alliance grows, our ambition is to build a network of local street contacts, with ideally at least one resident representing every street on the estate. They would help us keep their neighbours informed and ensure that concerns and ideas from across the whole community are heard.

There are lots of ways to help, depending on your interests and available time. 

These might include:

• Talking with neighbours and sharing local information

• Writing occasional website or newsletter content

• Helping with research or letters

• Attending our monthly meeting when possible

• Supporting public meetings or community events.

We are particularly keen to welcome bilingual speakers to help us improve engagement

There is no expectation that everyone will do everything—even a little help would be greatly appreciated, and it doesn't have to be a long-term or big commitment a few hours as and when you're free would be wonderful.
