Brazil’s official name is República Federation do Brasil (Federation Republic of Brazil).The word “Brazil,” meaning “red like an ember,” comes from pau brasil (brazilwood), a tree that once grew abundantly along the Brazilian coast that produced a deep, red dye.

This is a Black Jaguar he is the most incredible creatures on Earth. The tropical conditions of the rain forest allows these animals to thrive and completely transform the Amazon. From giant river otters to a variety of poison frogs, these colorful animals roams in some of the most untouched parts of the rain forest ,isolated from the rest of the world.

We've all seen science fiction movies that tell tales of huge over-sized spiders. Well the Goliath bird-eater spider is what nightmares are made of. These are huge spiders can grow to be the size of a puppy as some scientists found out during a trip to Guyana. These spiders are rare but they do exist in parts of the Amazon Rain Forest. Imagine waking up to one of these at night.

While on the subjects of creepy crawlies, the peanut head bug of Fulgora Laternaria is one of those insects that would throw you for a loop. These bugs can grow to a length of 85-90 mm and get their name from literal peanut shape of the head. They do have wings so it wouldn't be too surprising to see them flying around the Amazon.

Piranhas are some of the most feared fish in the Amazon. For the most part of these fish may seem harmless but they pack most powerful bites for vertebrates. A school of Piranhas can rip an animal or human to shreds in seconds because of their razor sharp teeth designed to rip and tear at flesh. If you thought sharks were bad, a school of Piranhas could be much worse.

What type of food is in Brazil?

Stew of rice with chicken, which is a typical Brazilian dish in the state of Goiás. a festive dish in Brazilian cuisine, especially from the Amazonian region, it is of indigenous origin, and is made with leaves of the Manioc plant, salted, pork, dried meat, and smoked ingredients, such as bacon or sausage.

Pão de queijo

Cheese and bread, two staple favourites the world over, are brought together in glorious union in Brazil’s pão de queijo (cheese bread). This moreish snack is enjoyed as much at breakfast as it is at any time of the day or night. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, the gluten-free breads are made with tapioca flour, eggs and grated queijo Minas (a cow’s milk cheese from the state of Minas Gerais), rolled into small balls. For a naughty twist, you sometimes find pão de queijo in fist-sized rolls – or even the size of a cake – stuffed with anything from yet more cheese or cream cheese to various meaty fillings.
