Stephanie Bice is running against Kendra Horn in Oklahoma District 5 as a republican. Bice was elected to State Senate in 2014. She also served for two years as Assistant Majority Floor Leader in the Oklahoma Senate and in Chair of Senate Finance Committee. Bice modernized Oklahoma's alcohol laws, and her reform for these laws was considered an economical development victory. She graduated from Oklahoma State with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a minor in International Business. After this she worked for eight years in financial control for her family’s technology company, and because of this experience she supports smalls businesses and their owners.

Kendra Horn is running against Stephanie Bice in Oklahoma District 5 as a democrat. She is currently the representative of Oklahoma District 5. This includes Oklahoma City, Edmond and Shawnee. She was born south of the district and is a fifth-generation Oklahoman. She attended University of Tulsa studied law at SMU’s Dedman School of Law in Dallas. She managed affairs for nonprofit Space Foundation before leaving its communications and media relations division. She is a member of many caucuses, such as The Blue Dog Coalition, The Women's Caucus and Co-chair of the Space Power Caucus.
