The Okamura house is characterized by the robustness of its space. High brick cylinders that rise to the sky form a monumental space, while also being curious for their particular shape.
All these cylinders are connected to each other forming a network through which the different phases of the structure can be traversed.
In addition to that, we must keep in mind that one of the inspirations for the design of the okamura house were the Brazilian favelas.
The way to connect these two concepts is that both share the idea of union. In the same way that the favelas are a'stacking' of homes, the Okamura house also stacks its numerous cylinders to form a seemingly unique structure.
