Guest Lecture - Extracellular vesicles: Having Fun with Nature’s Nanocarriers

On September 17, 2025, a guest lecture titled “Extracellular vesicles: Having Fun with Nature’s Nanocarriers” was delivered by Prof. Carola Ulrike Niesler from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Prof. Niesler highlighted the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) as natural nanocarriers in regenerative medicine, sharing insights from her research on stem cells, wound repair, and EV-based therapies. She also presented examples of scientific collaborations, ranging from wildlife studies on rhinos to projects exploring EVs in diagnostics and plant-derived nanovesicles.

The lecture offered inspiring perspectives on the fast-growing field of EV research and its potential future applications in medicine.
