Nuke was used for the project.
SCRIPT BREAKDOWN
Whole process started with camera tracking. I got 0.47 solve error. A good camera tracking has a vital role in the camera projection phase. We don't want to see noticable slidings in the scene. In addition, this track points are very usefull for placing 3D cards into scene. Int his way we reduce the sliding.
First, I wanted to do matte painting and their projections after sky replacement and colour grading the original shot, I did colour correction of the plattes. Whole plattes were created by me.
Since I wanted the scene looking more like abondened place, I removed the moving cars and their reflections on the windows and cars.
For the foreground building, I used Megascan decals and asphalt. I also painted the ground to make it look like sand. For these processes, I used planar projection and inverted their corner pins after the work was re-inverted to paste and cath the parallax.
since I did a sky replacement, I had to extract the actor from the sky.
After Sky replacement I started to do colour correction, I followed the same steps for plates as well.
Make it more beliveable I painted cars and tried to give them rusty, mossy look.
Here is the last colour grading before lens effects.
Finally, in order to increase the abondoned vibe, I used birds.
