Welcome to oak grove elementary pto

Oak Grove Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a registered 501(c)(3) organization whose sole purpose is to support the school and community of Oak Grove Elementary.  Oak Grove PTO is a volunteer group of parents/guardians and teachers working together to support and enrich students. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and fundraising.  We also enhance student and parent involvement through events and meetings we have scheduled throughout the school year.  All parents/guardians of OGES students are welcome to join us - membership is FREE !  The voting block of our organization is made up of our members and our PTO Executive Board.  We are successful because of the commitment of so many of our parents!  Reach out today to find a volunteer position that fits your strengths and time available.

mission statement

The mission of the Oak Grove PTO is to support the academic, emotional, social, and physical development of students and to enhance the teaching and learning environment at Oak Grove Elementary School by:

  • Fostering open communication and effective collaboration between parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and support staff.

  • Recruiting, equipping, and supporting parent/guardian and community volunteers for school and OGES PTO activities.

  • Raising funds and donations of goods and services from the wider community to support this mission.

How to get involved?

Our goal as a PTO is to support our school and provide a sense of community to our members. We encourage you to find ways to get involved!

Attend a General PTO meeting! These are typically held on a Tuesday every month. You can find General Meeting dates under “PTO Meetings”.

Join a committee! Check out the list of committees under “Committees & Volunteers”. There is a committee to fit all different levels of time commitment and involvement. This is one of the best ways to meet other parents of your school and community!  Not sure which committee might be a good fit?  Just ask! Email: ogeptoboard@gmail.com.

Attend PTO Events! OGES PTO is full of traditions, from Secret Santa Shoppe, to Spirit Nights, Movie Nights, and Oaktoberfest, just to name a few! We hope you will join us and make our traditions YOUR traditions, too!  Check out our events under "Calendar of Events".
