COMMITTEES & VOLUNTEERS

WE WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP!

The research is clear, kids at schools with a more involved parent base do better on key measures including academic and social.  Neighborhoods associated with high achieving schools are more desirable. So what are you waiting for?  What have you got to lose?  Make this the year you commit to your student, your school your neighborhood!

Stay connected to the school by volunteering your time and talents in the PTO. The PTO supports various projects at the school and supplements the Clinic/Art/Music supplies, Computer/P.E. equipment and our teachers.

Your involvement reinforces your commitment to your child, Oak Grove and the Community.

This is your opportunity to get involved at Oak Grove!  Your child spends a lot of time at school, and it's great to share some of their school-related experiences with them.  Whether it's helping run the next big event or providing support in the classroom, there is always a way to pitch in! Volunteering provides another way to get to know the school and support staff, and to better understand their needs and ideas. To Volunteer for a committee, please contact the PTO Board or the Committee Chair listed under the Committee you are interested in serving.

ROOM PARENT

A room parent is the liaison and coordinator between the teacher and class parents for upcoming events.  Sign-up sheets are available in your child's classroom.

SCHOOL EVENTS

The PTO sponsors many events throughout the school year.  These are a fun way to get to know your child's friends and their families.  Below are a list of the events we sponsor and/or assist with during the year. Please fill out our volunteer form if interested in volunteering for any of these events.
