Audit Team- Team leader: Emily Flynn
Don't have much time but love checklists and details? This committee reviews the transactions and record-keeping of the PTA. It is a year-long commitment, but takes just a few hours total over the year.
Advocacy Team- Team leader: Meena Statz
Want to help parents understand how legislation may affect their students day-to-day? This committee works with statewide PTA to help inform parents of their choices and rights.
Building and Grounds Team- Team leader: Bobby MacNaughton
Love gardening? Have an eye for design? This committee works to coordinate school and grounds beautification.
Cultural Arts Team- Team leader: Gaby White
Love music, art, story-telling? Help the PTA bring great programs to our students that enrich their educational experience.
Direct Donation Drive Team- Team leader: Jamie Maley
Our only in-house fundraiser, where 100% of donations go to Oak Grove and STAY at Oak Grove! We kickoff our fundraiser by tie-dying school shirts for every student and staff member. Our culminating event to celebrate is our Splash & Dash--think water fun run!
Supporting All Learners Team- Team leader: Meena Statz
Help us come up with ways to reach all our families, embrace our varying backgrounds and learn from each other.
Nominating Team- Team leader: Katie Granack
Love networking? Have an eye for talent development? Help match volunteers with their best fit opportunity and help recruit the next executive board each year.
Sponsorship Team- Team leader: Leah Patrick
Help recruit business sponsors to support our school based on our tiered sponsorship program. This is a great "on your own time" volunteer opportunity!
Teacher Appreciation Team- Team leaders: Meredith Richardson & Amanda Worthington
Do you like helping others feel loved? Our teachers and staff do so much for our school and this committee’s job is to show them how grateful we, as parents, are for all their hard work!
Yearbook Team- Team leader: Tara Greife
Help gather photos and design our yearbook to commemorate our awesome year!
Event Teams- Have you planned events before? These committees do the prep work to make these fun activities run smoothly!
Fall Festival-Team leaders: Meredith Richardson & Emily Flynn
Have a spooky fun time organizing the Fall Festival activities, Costume Contest and Pumpkin Decorating Contest.
Art Night- Team leader: Jamie Maley
Work with school staff to create an evening showcasing all of the OGES artists. Every student's artwork is displayed for a gallery walk. Student musicians perform and our Otter Singers present their chorus concert.
Book Fair- Team leader: Lauren Knudson
Help to plan, set up and run our annual Book Fair in December.
Glow Party- Help plan for the most electric night of the year in February!
STEM Night- Help secure local science groups for STEM Night and organize the science fair in April.
Movie Nights- Work to plan our movie night and the opening acts in May.
WCPSS Volunteer Clearance
Volunteers play an important role in our district! The WCPSS volunteer renewal window for the 2024-25 school year will be July 1-Oct. 1. Visit Volunteering in WCPSS to learn more about volunteer renewal or how to apply to be a first-time volunteer.
Otter Adventure Clubs
