Brain and Body Resources

Kindergartners work so hard to learn to share their ideas in writing! While many children are happily filling papers with their ideas in words and pictures, writing development is still a work in progress. In order to support continued proper development and neat writing, we are offering some wonderful links with ideas and strategies to provide appropriate support in this area. We invite you to explore and discover together to keep your brains and bodies growing. There are LOTS of fun ways to practice!

Summer Library Resources

Hi Kindergarten Friends and Families,

I want to thank you for joining me in our online library classroom with Mrs. Twomey and Mrs. Pfeiffer these past 12 weeks and for sharing all the thoughtful response Flipgrid videos! I loved them all and am so happy we could stay in touch!! I would love for you to keep reading over the summer. Please use the buttons in this section to access lots of reading goodies! You can use the Summer Reading Log to keep track of the books you read over the summer and return the log in the fall to receive a special pencil and bookmark. You can also use the fun choice board with reading related activities you can work on over the summer. As you complete an activity, mark off the box. Have fun!

Please remember to read books that you love every day and to practice your typing skills. You can always go to the Old Farmers Library Resource Hub page over the summer to access free digital books and other resources.

I wish you and your family a safe and fun summer together!!

Love,

Mrs. Kerpez ‍
