Game Overview
Opening Letter
Yandelere Simulator (2023) is an online, free-to-play 2D spoof school simulator developed by HumanHummus. Initially an inside-joke among friends, it was jokingly decided on a whim to develop a real game that would be playable in school despite the incessant blockers. Intended as a parody, the game was never meant to reach significance and should have been abandoned and forgotten quickly. Even as the development process proved to be entertaining and educational, Yandelere Simulator was designed to be "cringe and bad" and not taken seriously.
The earliest versions existed as a visual novel in which the unidentified player character could progress through the story-lines via dialogue options. Inspired by parody dating simulators, the goal of the game was "supposedly" to pursue the love interest and titular character, Yandol, but this was never actually implemented, even in the concepts. In fact, the majority of the game-play involved various short mini-games meant to represent different classes. This early version did not encompass the whole screen but was rather enclosed with a border that has been reused as borders for character head shots during dialogue.
Switching to a different game engine and changing from a visual novel to an open world, the current version retains little of the original. The "goal" is still to get with Yandol, but that cannot actually be achieved in game and the main focus is on rather unorthodox and intentionally silly school activities. Still, the point of the game was to be a parody for fun, not romance.
As should be obvious, Yandelere Simulator is a game made by students with the intended target audience being other students attending the same school. The real value, and by extension humor, of the game lies in its references and satire to specific shared experiences. This is evident by the fact that the majority of the game's content, if not all of its content, are caricatures and puns that then-current students should be familiar with. For example, a daily sentence-organizer commonly used in Lang. & Lit. classes known as "MUG shot" have been adapted into the "CupCrack" mini-game. Cup being used as a synonym for MUG and Crack being a synonym for Shot. Another instance of this would be JasperLazy, which is a parody on the Microsoft certification readiness learning system, Jasperactive.
Synopsis
A classic school dating simulator that includes almost no actual dating! Participate in all your favorite classroom activities such as accidentally reanimating the dead, transforming into an aorta, and discovering the psychological horror of the repeated failure to desperately make sense of a fractured mind! Brought to you by two deadbeat high schoolers from a non-existent studio, grab your pencils because it’s time to fi- I mean go to class!
Lore
Within the narrative HumanHummus lore, Yandelere Simulator is an in-universe video game with non-canonical events inspired by canon events. Although created in real life by HumanHummus, the sole in-universe developer of the game is Susana.
The protagonist and player character is a humanized version of The Drungalwort who is about to attend their first day at a new school after recently moving. The Drungalwort is exhibited to have some memory problems as he cannot recall where he recently lived or the identity of he best friend, but this has no plot significance and is more of a personality trait than a story factor. It is unknown if The Drungalwort lives alone or not. The "Gradeful" ending implies the presence of another person who is tutoring The Drungalwort, but where this scene takes place, and the character's relation to The Drungalwort, is still unknown. In the official version The Drungalwort is seemingly a man of wealth with a rather large house, which directly contradicts the previous versions and popular belief that The Drungalwort is poor.
The school in which The Drungalwort enrolls is COwOmbia High School (Formally Coral High School), which is known for its characteristic pastel pink and teal color scheme and y2k aesthetic.
Production and Betas
[Each time a “figure” is collected, screen slowly and soundlessly fades to black showing a pure black screen with x/6 in the middle, before returning to normal. This continues until all 6 figures are collected, in which upon returning to normal, the screen starts bugging and glitching out (however dramatic as you like). Once in total chaos, the screen will gradually clear up revealing the new location where the player may interact with Susana.]

sus_return1_talk_7: susana - Keep this up and my next game is gonna be about a hospital.
sus_return1_talk_8: susana - Do you think this is some kind of joke, huh? That I put all these months of painstaking work into this intricate project JUST so that YOU can enjoy it, and here you go, throwing IT ALL AWAY?
sus_return1_talk_9: susana - What a sick joke.
sus_return1_talk_10: susana - I guess that’s fitting for you, that’s all you are you know. Somebody’s degraded depiction of a cruel, sick, joke.

sus_return1_talk_12: susana - Maybe I could’ve told you, I do have all the answers. Maybe, just maybe, we could have been friends. Your first and only friend! How exciting would that be! Or, you know, you could have just played the game and left.
sus_return1_talk_13: susana - But no. OF COURSE you wouldn't.
sus_return1_talk_14: susana - You just HAD to be a pitiful, pathetic, self-entitled little JERK!
sus_return1_talk_15: susana - Hmph, fine. Be like that. It’s actually kinda funny, y’know.
sus_return1_talk_16: susana - This whole game is about a school yet somehow you’ve managed to learn nothing. That’s actually a talent.
sus_return1_talk_17: susana - So, why don’t I teach you a lesson?

OwOlin’s strategy relies on being difficult to attack, rather than utilizing heavy attacks themselves.
