1. Scope
This policy covers the individual-use version of Odak. You do not need an Odak account. This version does not offer management of another person's device or cloud sharing through Odak Family.
2. Information processed on your device
Odak stores your app selections, daily limits, routines, focus sessions and temporary-access records on your device. Apple provides privacy-preserving identifiers for selected apps and websites.
Detailed Screen Time reports are processed on your device in Apple's report extension. Odak does not send this history to its own server or to advertising or analytics providers. The Odak score considers screen use that affects the score and your selected distracting apps. App selections you exclude from the score remain on-device; exclusions do not erase reported usage. Focus time is estimated within the 7 a.m.–1 a.m. window by subtracting screen use that affects the score. It does not measure uninterrupted work or attention. The score is not a health or diagnostic measurement.
Your program selections, completed steps and any notes retained from earlier versions stay local. Aggregate activity counters also stay on the device. Detailed local focus and break records are retained for up to 30 days.
When iOS provides an application's name on a blocking screen, Odak stores a limited local association so it can show that name during temporary access. This cache holds up to 128 names, limited to 40 characters each. Names can be reused for 30 days after they are observed; expired entries are removed when another name is stored. The Live Activity receives the display name and access timing, not an app-selection token or detailed usage history. You can hide the target information or disable Live Activities in settings.
The Safari extension stores explicitly added domains, website rules, accumulated visible-tab time for daily limits and temporary-access state on your device. Time measurement uses a temporary session identifier and the latest activity time. Daily usage is a current per-rule total, not a visit history. It does not save or upload page contents, URL paths, query parameters or browsing history. A selected domain includes its subdomains. Remove sites through the relevant card’s editing controls in Protection; some changes are locked while Plan Lock is active. Safari permissions and private-tab access are managed in Safari settings.
To calculate protected time, the start and end times of protection intervals stay on your device. This technical protection record is separate from the estimated Focus time shown in Today. It contains no app identifiers, domain names or usage history. Completed intervals older than three days are pruned when protection next changes; the current observed interval remains until it changes. This duration does not measure time away from the screen.
3. Permissions and Apple services
Screen Time permission enables protection and usage reports for selected apps. Odak+ guided content can be used without this permission.
The camera is used only when you choose to begin a push-up step. Movement analysis happens on your device; photos, video and body-pose data are not recorded or sent to Odak. A code alternative is available if you do not want to use the camera.
Location permission is optional during initial setup. Permission while using the app is requested to capture your current location. Background location rules separately require Always and Precise Location permissions. Saved place names, coordinates, radii and region status stay on your device. Odak does not continuously scan high-accuracy GPS.
Address searches and map display use Apple Maps services. Apple may process the search text and displayed area. Odak does not add the device's current position as a search-region hint or operate its own address-search server.
Notification permission is used for reminders you choose to enable. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
4. Subscriptions
Apple App Store and StoreKit handle payments and subscriptions. Odak does not receive your card or bank details. Access to Odak+ is based on a subscription or lifetime purchase entitlement verified by Apple. Apple handles code redemption; dismissing the redemption screen alone does not grant access. Deleting the app or program data does not cancel a subscription; manage it under Apple Account → Subscriptions.
5. Sharing and support
If you choose to share a summary, the app you select in the system share sheet receives it. Odak does not automatically send a friends list or maintain a social-data server.
If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you add. Our support address is odakappcontact@gmail.com, using Google Gmail. Usage history, app selections and saved locations are not automatically attached. We use messages to answer your request and follow up on its resolution. You can request deletion at the same address.
6. Retention and deletion
Protection settings remain on your device until you change or reset them. Some changes may be restricted while a protection or plan lock is active.
The local-history deletion option in Measurement and privacy deletes the last 30 days of detailed Odak action records. It does not delete Apple's Screen Time history or aggregate counters.
Program data management lets you delete your progress and any legacy notes. Resetting Screen Time settings does not delete program data or cancel a subscription. Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data; offloading the app is different. Device and backup-service retention rules may also apply.
Support messages and attachments are deleted within 90 days after the request is closed. You can request earlier deletion using our support address. The email provider’s backup and security retention rules may also apply.
7. Tracking and service providers
This support website is hosted on Google Sites. We do not add advertising or analytics code to this site. Google Sites may use its own cookies and technical tools to deliver the service; Google's privacy and cookie policies also apply. The hosting service may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and secure the website.
Versions with optional ad measurement include the Meta and TikTok SDKs. They initialize only after you grant Apple's tracking permission. The request is not displayed automatically: choose Settings → Measurement and privacy → Optional ad measurement. With consent, install and launch/session events, advertising identifiers, device/connection information and technical SDK diagnostics may be processed and matched with information from other apps and websites to measure ODAK advertising. Meta and TikTok may process data outside your country. Automatic purchase and UI interaction logging are disabled. Detailed Screen Time history, selected app/site names or tokens, location, camera data, program notes and purchases are not sent to these providers.
Refusing permission does not restrict ODAK features. Revoke permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to stop future launch measurement. Previously transferred data is not automatically deleted. Provider retention and deletion practices: Meta Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/) and TikTok Privacy Policy (https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/privacy-policy/en). Contact odakappcontact@gmail.com with questions or deletion requests.
Apple's Screen Time, Maps and App Store services are subject to Apple's privacy terms. Email services and apps you choose for sharing operate under their own privacy terms.
8. Contact and changes
Send privacy questions or requests to odakappcontact@gmail.com. If data handling changes, this policy and the relevant App Store disclosures will be updated.
9. Your requests and rights
We receive support information directly through the email you send. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering and resolving support requests, provided this does not override your fundamental rights. We use Gmail for support and Google Sites for the website; these providers may also process information on infrastructure outside Türkiye.
Under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you may ask whether personal data is processed, request information about processing, learn its purpose and whether it is used accordingly, and learn the parties to whom data is transferred. You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, erasure or destruction when the legal conditions apply, and notification of these actions to recipients. You may object to an adverse result based solely on automated analysis and seek compensation for unlawful processing. Send requests to odakappcontact@gmail.com.
