What is the Orange County Math Council?

The Orange County Math Council is a non-profit association for math educators in Orange County, CA. It is a local affiliate of the California Math Council- South, which is an affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. OCMC, as Orange County Math Council is frequently referred to, generally hosts three events per year: a Math Symposium in the spring, Math Field Day at the end of the school year, and an event in the fall. OCMC is an organization committed to math excellence for our students county-wide.

Our Mission

The methods of accomplishing this shall include the study of mathematics for its own sake and the development of effective teaching of mathematics (NCTM, 2014) to support students in their mathematical confidence and competence.
