Footnotes of Distinction:
Four Play! Mike “M&M” Miyasaki’s second shot on hole #7, the 516 yard par five, landed on the green! He then proceeded to four putt for a boogie! He still managed to shoot even par on the front nine. Leslie Lew missed a 4” put on hole #17. What?!!! No one ever misses a 4” putt in golf!!! Al Lum had quads on hole #8, a par 3, and hole # 14, a par 5. Playing to a 19 handicap, he still managed to card a 90!
Money Player! Gil “Aloha Kid” Ishizu won three Net Skins. He did this while shooting a 116 with a 24 handicap for a net 92!
The Domination Continues! Michael “The Dominator” Ha continues to dominate in every tournament he enters.
Range Finders! OCAAGA has approved the use of range finders with slope! The hope is that this will help speed up the game. However, it may slow it down for those who need to figure out how to use it!
Big money winner was Michael “The Dominator” Ha. He continues to dominate in every tournament that he plays in. He won points in every event he entered with the exception of Low Net Back and Greenies. He tied for second Low Net Front (6 points), won Low Net Total (66 points), won Low Gross (8 points), won Long Drive (14 points), won Low Putts (12 points), and 3 Skins (72 points) for a total of 178 points. Coming in second was Mike “M&M” Miyasaki. He won two Skins (48 points) and one Net Skin (22 points) for a total of 70 points. Art Fukumoto was third with 69 points.
The Hole-in-One kitty is at 1966 points.
In the Battle of the Titans (aka real golfer vs. work in progress), Mike “M&M” Miyasaki (+1) vs. Al “I Need More Strokes” Lum (19), Al bested M&M by 4 and is up by nine for the year.
Please remember to post your OCAAGA tournament score. It should be posted as an “Away” score and NOT as a “Tournament”.
