What is the DF and QC Sample?
What is the DF and QC Sample?
Instrument stability changes over time, and DF (Drift) samples are used to correct these changes at the start of each analysis. Next, accuracy, precision, and reproducibility must be validated. QC (Quality Control) samples are measured alongside unknowns to confirm data quality.
Our calibration set of samples can be used for drift (DF) and quality control (QC) purposes. Two obsidian samples were selected for DF and three for QC. We have an adequate quantity of these samples, and we can make them available to other researchers.
