At a shabby location, self-proclaimed fortune tellers demonstrate their paranormal abilities in front of a skeptical jury. The sessions are aided by a set of off-play cards indicating whether the fortune teller's predictions are ‘true’, ‘almost true’, or ‘false’. The test subjects start the reading sessions with no personality or background story but end up with unique life stories as a result of the fortune tellers' claims and the drawn cards. The stories of their lives change dramatically based on predictions that they are married, depressed, in love, ill or fired, with the cards showing ‘true’, ‘almost true’, or ‘false’. Someone might even end up being a murderer. It’s all in the imagination of the fortune tellers, and… in the cards.
In the end, none of the fortune tellers ever wins the one million euros for proving their paranormal abilities. Eventually, everyone draws a ‘false’ card, causing disbelief from the strict jury.
