BMM 504 Functional Neuroimaging

The purpose of this course is to introduce to the students a recently growing field called “Functional Neuroimaging” which is a subfield of Medical Imaging and improve their problem-solving skills according to the problems that they come across in this field. In this course, topics will be covered such as Neuroanatomy, Structural and Functional Neuroimaging and Data Analysis of these methodologies such as fMRI (Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) ,EEG (Electroencephalography) and fNIRS (Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy). By the end of this course, it is expected that participants not only have basic information but also present solutions for the problems in the field.

BMM 412 Biomedical Signal Processing

In this course, topics will be covered such as biomedical signals, time and frequency based approaches, power spectrum techniques, filter design and artificial intelligence techniques using biomedical signals. Biomedical signals such as ECG, EEG, EMG, Event Related Potentials, Evoked Potentials will be discussed in details. By the end of this course, it is expected that participants not only have basic information but also present solutions for the problems in the field.
