Evidence Statement: Public Health Communication                                  Competencies

               This statement presents my competencies in designing, adapting, and evaluating public health communication strategies for diverse populations, as demonstrated in the three attached assignments. Each document illustrates my ability to analyze specific contexts, formulate targeted messages, and select appropriate dissemination methods to influence health behaviors and social norms.

         The Maternal Health Communication Plan for Rural Ivory Coast demonstrates my mastery of situational and audience analysis to design a campaign addressing a critical issue. Key messages, such as "Delivering at a clinic is the key to a safe birth," are formulated to be simple, concrete, and disseminated via credible channels like local radio and community theater, taking into account the low literacy rate. Its presentation uses a clear structure (hierarchical titles, lists) and direct language to facilitate understanding and action, reflecting a pragmatic, audience-centered approach tailored to a vulnerable population.

        The Comparative Analysis of Grant Opportunities proves my ability to decipher and respond to the requirements of various global health funders. By synthesizing the objectives, criteria, and evaluation plans required by three major agencies, this work shows how to adapt a project proposal to different institutional logics. The presentation as a comparative table, with a sober color code (bold headers), was chosen to provide a quick and analytical overview—an essential skill for mobilizing resources and communicating effectively with technical and financial partners.

         The document on the Human Rights-Based Approach to Emergency Care and my CV complete this demonstration. The first articulates a fundamental ethical framework for all health communication, emphasizing principles of accessibility and cultural acceptability. My layout uses generous line spacing and short paragraphs for a smooth reading experience of complex concepts. My CV, in turn, validates this set of competencies by presenting my career transition from technical data management to public health, highlighting my ability to manage health information and coordinate field projects—concrete assets for implementing the communication strategies described in my other works.
