Service Opportunities
The Serenity Retreat is a volunteer-run event. Service is a core part of our program and can strengthen our abstinence. There are service opportunities at the retreat. If you are interested in being of service, then please indicate that on your registration form.
Retreat Committee
At the retreat we will be filling positions for next year's retreat committee, so please review the list below as you consider which service position you would like to do.
If you have any questions about particular service positions, or if you are interested in serving but are not sure which position to sign up for, please talk to committee members at the retreat.
Being on the committee means that you have the opportunity to plan the retreats for the next two years.
It is recommended for all committee positions that you have attended a retreat prior to giving service. All committee members must be members of Overeaters Anonymous and part of the East Bay, San Francisco, Mid-Peninsula, Santa Cruz or Silicon Valley Intergroups.
It is also requested that you be available for 4 meetings throughout the year in order to plan the Serenity Retreat.
