Quoi de neuf?

2024 we welcomed the first Tahiti exchange students at St Margaret's College. The exchange was planned since 2019 when the initiative was rudely disrupted by Covid19. However, we persisted and are delighted to say that the first group of girls went to Papeete in September 2023 and the first Tahitian group visited us in February 2024. The next exchange is going to be in September 2024 and this time we invited Christ's College to the party.

DELF SCOLAIRE 2023 went really well!  Thanks to all the teachers and students that participated.  The students seemed more relaxed than in previous years and  the results are looking good.  If you are interested in your students getting involved, let me know. The DELF exam is valid for life!!!  B1 is what you need for immigration and B2 is for entry to University in France.  Don't forget they have several universities that offer free tuition for international students.  A1 and A2 are great for gaining confidence in French and showing how much progress you have made.  The listening tests are multi-choice!!

As usual the Journée d’Immersion at the University of Canterbury was a big success in June.  The students really participated well in all the activities and expressed how great it was to experience life at University.  If you have any pictures to share please get hold of Eric or Antonio.

Cluster group 2023

Last year there was a request for info about the Cluster Group in ChCh for language teachers. We get together for about an hour to network, share ideas, have afternoon tea and get a heads up on cool stuff… Venue- Papanui High School in the upstairs boardroom, Facilitator: Michelle Dalley dlm@papanui.school
