WHAT ARE ALLIANCES FRANÇAISES?
Alliances françaises are the language and cultural centres for French and francophones cultures. They were created in Paris in 1883, as a charity. Today, there are 824 Alliances in 138 countries. It is the largest non-profit language and cultural network in the world!
WHERE ARE THEY?
New Zealand currently counts 6 Alliances françaises (Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Nelson, Palmerston North, Wellington) with some, offering French lessons, cultural events and serving their respective local communities and schools for over 130 years!

French lessons to all levels to anyone aged 2 to 100 years old!
Preparation for DELF examination for all levels but also DELF examiner training for teachers.

PALMERSTON NORTH - 2026
The Alliance Française of Palmerston North is organising two DELF tout public sessions for adults this year Alliance Francaise Palmerston North - DELF DALF Diplomas :
First exam: Saturday 2 May (registrations from 02/03 to 24/04)
Second exam: Saturday 17 October (registrations from 03/08 to 25/09)
Two sessions of DELF Prim (ages 8–12) and DELF Junior (ages 12–18) will also be held at the Alliance Française in Palmerston North Alliance Francaise Palmerston North - DELF DALF Diplomas :
First exam: Saturday 9 May (registrations from 02/03 to 24/04)
Second exam: Saturday 7 November (registrations from 31/08 to 23/10)

Workshops
The next workshops will take place from 07/04 to 17/04 for children and adults Alliance Francaise Palmerston North - Workshops :
School Holiday Programme: Fun activities, games, classes, and cooking for children aged 5 and up.
Adults Intensive Programme: Learning the basics to join a class in the second term.
French for Travellers: Courses focused on introductions and travel vocabulary for a cultural immersion (from 13/04 to 17/04).
