Supervision

You will be working in pairs on your client's case. You and your classmate with whom you are paired will share supervision sessions. Your pair will meet weekly or biweekly with me in order to discuss issues about lawyering, your role, your clients, and other items that arise about your clinic work. My role is to teach specific skills, clarify concepts, assist with critical thinking, conduct performance evaluations, mentor, advise, and model professional behavior for you.

Prior to each supervision meeting, your pair will prepare and distribute an agenda to me via email. During our meeting, your pair will discuss the progress you have made and the steps you intend to take the next week. This is an opportunity for you to practice running a meeting and presenting material. Our meetings will vary from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on issues.
