Who are we?
A group of National Writing Project fellows (i.e. those who have completed the Invitational Summer Institute) and writing friends will meet online in the summer with the goal of producing a professional piece for publication. We also pledge to offer support and honest feedback to one another.
How and where do we meet?
We meet virtually for exchanges - we will communicate online via e-mail, Google docs, Google Meets, and with this website. We may even meet in person for coffee (if and when that is possible).
Credit/Cost?
Our group is FREE, and we can also issue certificates of completion that you can use for CEUs/PDUs (at no cost). However, you can opt to complete this for course semester hours for a reduced rate of approximately $165 for one (1) semester hour of graduate credit.

Participation is completely free; however, you can earn graduate credit for a small fee. For participants interested in taking this course for Graduate Credit for the purpose of license renewal, you can use the form below to register with Kent State University for "Awakening the Writer Within."
This is by no means a requirement for participation - however, we understand that some school districts will not recognize CEUs and PDUs for license renewal or contract progression, and so this option is available for those who will value the opportunity for graduate credit.
