CCU Scholarship - 2026 Spring/Fall
CCU Scholarship - 2026 Spring/Fall
Introduction
National Chung Cheng University (CCU) is a leading research-oriented institution in Taiwan, dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation across science, engineering, management, and the humanities. With a strong emphasis on core advanced technologies, CCU fosters cutting-edge research in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and sustainable energy systems. In addition to pursuing cutting-edge academic research, CCU actively collaborates with leading industry players, including TSMC, MediaTek, WNC, Hiwin, and other global enterprises, to cultivate talent and bridge academia with industry needs. The university also engages in international collaborations, national research projects, and industry partnerships to translate academic excellence into real-world impact. CCU strives to position itself as a hub for pioneering research that addresses critical societal and technological challenges, particularly in Southern Taiwan. CCU also has the most beautiful campus in Taiwan. The CCU campus had been used as the main theme for the famous film Meteor Garden or Boys Over Flowers.
CCU Scholarship is designed to support outstanding international students by reducing financial barriers and encouraging academic excellence. It typically covers tuition fees, accommodation subsidies, and monthly living allowances (depending on the type of award). The scholarship aims not only to attract talented students from diverse backgrounds but also to foster cultural exchange and global collaboration within the university community. By providing this financial assistance, CCU helps students focus on their studies and research while actively engaging in campus life.
The Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE) at CCU, established on August 1, 1989, is recognized as one of the top-tier computer science (CS) departments in Taiwan. As one of the founding institutes of CCU, CSIE quickly distinguished itself by launching both undergraduate and MSc/Ph.D. programs in the early 1990s, becoming the first academic institution in southern Taiwan to provide a full spectrum of higher education in CS. Today, CSIE continues to uphold its reputation as a leading center for cutting-edge research and talent cultivation in Taiwan’s CS community.
Cyber Information Security Laboratory (CISLab) at CSIE provides financial aid opportunities to support outstanding international students pursuing advanced research. These aids may include research assistantships (RA) (project-based funding) and teaching assistantships (TA), helping with students' living expenses, conference attendance costs, and research-related costs (computer, equipment, miscellaneous experiments ). By offering this support, CISLab aims to reduce financial barriers and enable excellent students to fully engage in high-impact research. Our research interests consist of cybersecurity, quantum technologies, wireless and semantic communications, and Trustworthy AI.
