Update: Go here to get old versions of the driver straight from nvidia's website. As you can see in the screenshot, there's multiple versions from the time period necessary. Make sure to select the exact same selections I've made on my screenshot, then download one of the ones from within the time period.

after that, I tried downloading the driver from nvidia site(I downloaded: version=461.92whql, for win10 64bit, geforce 10 series -> gtx 1050, windows driver type= standard) and it told me that "this nvidia graphics driver is not compatible with this version of windows"and "this graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware", also nvidia experience couldn't identify my graphics card neither, what should I do?

I replaced the GTX 460 graphics card in my computer with the GTX 1050 Ti graphics card

bought in china. And the problems with installing drivers in Windows 10 64 bit started.

After installing Drivers v441.66 (latest) or v391.35 (specific for GTX 460 card)

the device stops due to a reported error 43. All driver installations were uninstalled from previous drivers with Display Driver Uninstaler.

I have a second disk with Windows XP. Installation of the drivers for this system went without any problems (drivers 368.91-espresso-icafe-winxp-international - I modified the nvic.inf file).

To use the GTX 1050 Ti card temporarily in Windows 10 64 bit. I restored the system from a backup

and I swapped the video cards without uninstalling the drivers - the GTX 1050 Ti card was detected and installed and working properly. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Trying to find a driver that will work with XP for a GTX 1050. I like to retro game and want the least possible frame dips in games. Also might install Windows 7 on a second HDD which I can find drivers for. Does anyone know if 368.81 will work with card with XP. Thats the GTX 950/950 Ti driver and back.

I remembered that My MAME Machine had a 750 TI in it. So I put the 1050 in the MAME machine and installed the correct driver for it. It's running windows 10 64 bit. At first there was no video. It restarted, there was video on the MAME machine, I installed the driver.

Good to know. I went with a 750 TI instead, and ran the 1050 with a Windows 10 MAME build. Just involve a driver reinstall to upgrade for Windows 10 on MAME machine. I will Up load comparisons of Far Cry on my rigs. I have Windows 10 on my AMD Main rig XP on The one with 750 TI in it.

Have a few windows 7 PCs. Just messing around in windows XP. Yes I know XP is Dead. I am running a 750 ti in it. I already said that I installed the 1050 in my MAME machine running Windows 10. Yes I should have got a 950 or 950 TI. The reason for the pictures was to compare looks of era.

Um, your title is "Driver for Windows XP w/ GTX 1050". I am trying to answer your implied question by saying that Microsoft is no longer working with Nvidia on drivers for Win XP. Not sure what else you want to hear, or why you posted this thread

I've recently (Jan 2021) updated my platform from an lga1155 to a AM4 system, and I'm running into display driver/dwm crashes which freeze what's on the screen but keep the PC running.

I can hear videos/games/chat continue, and I can manipulate them. I just can't see anything.

To gain full control back I have to turn it off with the PSU switch as just smothering the power button causes it to crash at the windows loading icon, the little pale blue one, but the system continues to boot to desktop behind a frozen screen.

I cannot figure this out. I've rolled back drivers, uninstalled all I can and reinstalled them. Tried 3 different (current, last and a few versions back) Nvidia drivers using DDU each time.

I've run sfc/scannow and a few other commands to wipe and repair Windows update and check that all the Windows files are fine, they all report that everything is fine, or that they corrected something and when run a second or third time come up clean.

I've booted to safe mode a few times, not spent much longer than a few minutes there so I can't really tell if it happens in that environment.

I've rebuilt my W10 install USB stick with an updated version from the Windows support page and run Windows start up repair.

I've tested the RAM, using windows memory tester and also using 1 stick, 2 sticks in each socket

I've reseated the CPU, and also replaced the CPU with a new one

I've reseated the GPU a few times as it's a recently new build and I had to go back to my old one for a few days during a return window(old pc runs fine, no issues)

I've reseated all cables at both ends

I've remounted the motherboard to make sure nothing was touching underneath

Basically I've taken it all apart twice and put it back together.

I've use the DP to HDMI cables between 2 machines no issues

All hard drives have been used across both machines, no issues

Hi,

It's amazing so many fixes and tests you've done. According to the description, I still consider it may a compatibility error between Win 10 and video card drivers.

Especially without this problem before the update. If you have updated the graphics driver and system version to the latest and still have this problem, I think you can try to install a previous version of Windows, such as Win101909, or try an older version of the driver to check.

Before this, maybe few settings you could check firstly.

1.Disable every visual effect in performance options.

 -disable-system-visual-effects-boost-performance-windows-10

2.Adjust for high performance in power management and disable sleep mode.

These setting are located on Control Panel >Power Options

3.Turn off GPU graphics card acceleration in the graphics card management software.

Hope this helps and please help to accept as Answer if the response is useful.

Best Regards,

Carl

Another solution for this error is to disable automatic updates from windows as it can cause a conflict of drivers, which occurs when windows think it is the latest driver and install the outdated one. The driver you have already installed can conflict with a driver that windows installed. It is called driver conflict that can cause Error Code 43. To avoid this, you have to disable automatic driver updates from the Local Group Policy Editor.

I just upgraded my Intel CPU to a AMD CPU. I was playing starfield on ultra setting before the upgrade and with I think 60fps now I am getting 5fps on low settings. I reinstalled windows and drivers. tried to fix this mess and played with the bios setting but had no luck. Tonight i am going to turn on DOCP. I just was reading a form about that but don't know what else to do.

Thanks for the advice but I was able to get the issue fixed. I ended up completely wiping the computer, reinstalling windows, resetting the mobo, updated it and updated all drivers, again. But, none of this fixed the issue. The root cause was in the Bios. The Bios was auto putting the PCIE slot to gen 3 which caused the graphics card performance to be reduced dramatically. e24fc04721
